Thanks for stopping by to view my post today!  I have created a fashion ring, which measures about 3 inches in diameter (I love these fashion rings!)  I have created “peacock feathers” from stringing 2 mm seed beads, and inserting a crystal in the middle of each one.  The centerpiece for this ring is Pinque Peacock’s beautiful Silk Peacock fabric button!  I truly think this is a creative piece, if I do say so myself!  Let your imagination go crazy!! ~Pinquette Lisa

Pinque Peacock Project-Altered Sketch Pad

Hello everyone!  Hope you are all having a fantabulous Monday!  For my project today, I am showcasing a wonderful, altered sketchpad over I created using a beautiful Elegant Floral and coordinating buttons from Pinque Peacock.

I started with a basic glue bound sketchpad, dismantled it, covered, and rebound it with a spiral binder

and turned it into…..

(inside of front cover)

I adhered the buttons to memo pins from Tim Holtz to allow for the to be used as stick pins and notes.  I fashioned the cover in the form of a ribbon memo board, and used cut out tags so the artist can make notes of locations, times of day, or other notes of interest.   I love using Pinque Peacock Products!  They add such an elegant touch to everything they touch!  I hope you all have enjoyed my project today!  Have a wonderful and creative day!

Memo to self….Stick it!

Hello All!  I'm here with another "Awesomesauce" project for you  from the Pinque Peacock Design Team today!  Thus far, I have used our Pinque Peacock buttons for jewelry…..could I?  Do I dare?  Use them….for something else?  I saw the beautiful Layered Garden Beauties I received, and the colors reminded me so much of my home!  The gorgeous earthy colors….oh, could this be the inspiration I have been looking for?  Could it be?    For so long I have wanted one of these chic, padded, memo boards.  I "just happened to have" coordinating fabric in my "fabric bin" (Yes, I REALLY have one!)  I used some upholstery samples I got on clearance from Joann’s and some denim….from…umm…jeans that don’t fit anymore…(yes!  Tip….Save your clothes….if you can craft with it, don’t’ donate it!  It can be cut, die cut, dyed and all sorts of nifty stuff.  I love to dye cut denim, and for YEARS I would donate my old jeans and buy denim fabric…WHAT???? How crazy is that…?)  So, I used strips of upholstery fabric and denim, along with some basting strips, a staple gun, and a 18X20 Canvas ($3.99), padded with some quilters batting, and created…..

I covered my tack marks with our Pinque Peacock buttons and Layered Garden Beauties, and even found a resting place for my stick pins to boot!  I hope you have enjoyed my project, and please….let your imagination carry you far!

Pinque Peacock Bib Necklace!

Hey there lovelies!  I would like to present my latest project for Pinque Peacock for you today.  When you think of Pinque Peacock, do you think quality fabric embellishments?  YES!  When you think of Pinque Peacock, do you think of AWESOMESAUCE designs?  YES!  When you think of Pinque Peacock, do you think hot fashion trends?  YES!  WHAT!  WAIT!  BACKUP!.....We all know that Pinque Peacock offers the latest and greatest in fabric selections for it’s Layered Garden Beauties, Fabric and Felt Poppers and Fabric covered buttons….but do YOU just use them to accessorize your papercrafts, cards and scrapbook layouts?  Well, catch up with the times, girlfriends and move over!  Last time, I brought you a great jewelry set using two designs of the fabric covered buttons…well, buckle up and hold on to your socks!  Today, I have used  6 of the various sized Fabric and Felt Poppers, and one GORGEOUS yellow fuzzy button, along with some of my own stash, including ribbon flowers, canvas, felt and a few vintage jewelry finds….and brought to you our first Pinque Peacock Bib Necklace….Oh yeah….I said it out loud!  I have chosen a neutral/earthtone pattern, layered all of Pinque Peacock’s beauties on a canvas backing, added some leather cord, ribbon and clasps, and you have your own, beautiful, fashionable accessory to wear….I think this piece definitely shows the versatility of Pinque Peacock’s products, but also shows how you can intermingle them with your own creations to create something SPECTACULAR!  Many of us seek to use embellishments singularly….but look at what you can create when you bunch, pair, duplicate and THINK OUTSIDE OF THAT BOX!    I hope you have all enjoyed seeing this, it sure was fun to make and design!  If you any any questions about the products used, please ask in comments….and have a Pinque Peacock kind of AWESOMESAUCE day!

Pinque Peacock Post 2/25/2013

Hello All!  I am SOOOO Happy to do my first post as a Pinquette!  Today, I stepped out of my comfort zone.  We all have to do that now and again.  Normally, outside of my comfort zone is with pastels…but today, I offer something a bit different.   I had a lovely chat with my Mother in Law…how many times can a girl say THAT in her life, right?  Well, I have the BEST Mother in Law in the world!  My mom past away 10 years ago, and my MIL, whom I have had for 6 years, has stepped right in that place, and not only welcomed me into her family….but made me feel like it was MY family.  My hubs and my first vacation was a trip to Durango, Colorado.  My inlaws have a place there.  While it is mostly known for skiing in the winter, the locals, and us and my inlaws, know it for it's Fourth of July festivities.  We trek up the mountain, to about 10,000 ft. to a little town called Silverton.  For those of you who have heard of my business….SimplySilverton-a soap and paperworks company….YES, that is the same Silverton we are named for.  Such a lovely place, such a simple place….such a place that makes you glad to live in the good ole' U…S…of ….A.They have one heck of a 4th of July celebration, and for some reason, that always comes to mind when I think of Pat (my wonderful, awesomesauce, mother in law!).

So, I used some fantastical buttons by Pinque Peacock! These were custom buttons that Jessica, in all her awesomesauce glory, created for me….so if you want a specific thing…or don't know what you want, let her creative brain do the work! To shop  the wonderful extravaganza of things that await you…https://www.facebook.com/PinquePeacock.  Today, I chose to take the denim and red corduroy covered buttons, and create a bracelet and earring set!  I paired them with vintage red crystals (circa 1920) and blue mercury glass beads to create an awesome Americana set!  I used Sterling jewelry backings to adhere the buttons to, and  linked them with sterling links, along with a bar/loop closure.  The earrings are both denim buttons, with three dangles of the mercury and crystal (circa 1920s) beads.  This reminds me of something my mother in law would wear to the 4th festivities in Silverton…..BUT WAIT!  Would you like to win these?  This entire set COULD BE YOURS! All you have to do is follow my personal blog at http://mycraftyspaces.blogspot.com and comment on my post there with "Enter me to win this!"  and you will be entered to win a duplicate of this amazing set!  WOOT WOOT…a post and a prize….what could be better?  Thanks for joining today, and look forward to more of our awesome creations using Pinque Peacock products!

Angela's 30th Birthday Blog Hop!

Welcome to “Angela’s 30th Birthday” Hop! So glad you can join us!
11 super crafty girls would like to share with you their birthday creations. Hopefully this will give you all some inspiration to make something for that upcoming birthday!
If you are coming from Pam - http://lovebugcreations3.blogspot.com,
then you are in the right spot. If you just happened to stumble upon my site, please start at Angela’s so you don’t miss anyone’s amazing projects!
Before I introduce my project, I would like to send a huge “Happy Birthday” to our awesome Hostess-Angela Corcoran!  I’d also like to thank her for the opportunity to do this hop!  Everything I have created was outside of my “comfort zone”, so for the chance to do that….THANK YOU!  Everyone of these awesome cuts  (except for the teapot (from SVGCuts))is available on the CTMH-Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  If you just HAVE to have it, I am a CTMH Demonstrator, so please just message me!
I decided to do a little birthday party montage.  Being a mom of 3 girls, you DREAM of doing things like this….but being a mom of 4, I have NEVER had the time!  I centered mine around a “tea party” theme and tried to go heavy on the pinks and pearls.  All of my papers in this project were printed from the Cricut Imagine Blossom cartridge.  I learned that you can print on pearlescent paper (happy mistake) and give your prints a whole new look!  I made a purse treat bag…to fill with a few goodies for the party guests, a pinwheel-which can be used for fun or used to decorate cupcakes, etc., a cupcake wrap (which I altered) a treat “take home” box, and a teapot invitation.  All have been accented with adhesive pearls and a combo satin/sheer ribbon that coordinates.  In all honesty, I just don’t understand cupcake wrappers, lol.  That being said, they are cute cute cute!  I took a different approach with mine, and added a bottom using a circle cut to the diameter of the opening and adding tabs to adhere to the inside of the cup.  My thinking with this was that you could use them also as (serving cups) for candies, nuts, dried fruit pieces, etc!  I’m now rethinking the versatility of these cute little diddies!  The box was super easy to cut and large enough to use them to send your party guests home with a few petit fours, cookies and whatnot.  The purse box is just adorable.  I think it would be perfect to include a few pieces of “glam” beads for your guests to wear.  The pinwheel is super fun and is adhered to a simple lollipop stick.  The invitation pulls everything together!  While intended for a birthday, I do think this little ensemble would be great for a baby shower, girls get together and any reason you might just want to be cute!  Thanks for stopping by!  Don’t forget to leave your comments and become a follower so you can register for the blog candy!  My blog candy will be $50 worth of assorted crafty goodies!
