Team Princess is up this
week with a cute butterfly card. This butterfly is made from the
Strawberry Shortcake file and can be found under vintage TV shows or by
following this link, http://www.scrappingwithlisadesigns.com/item_14/Strawberry-Shortcake.htm
The key to this week’s
project was to create a card with this butterfly, however, the card must have
dimensions included.
For my butterfly, I used KC
Company “Wild Raspberry Stack”. To begin
my project, I decided to actually make the butterfly the card rather than an
element of a card. First, I took the
.svg file, and assembled it on my SCAL mat.
Then I welded it together, copied, flipped and joined the two outlines
and cut on kraft paper. This is the
foundation for the card. Next, I took
various papers from the Wild Raspberry Stack and cut the elements of the
butterfly, cutting multiples of different sizes in contrasting patterned
paper. I then assembled the elements of
the butterfly using 3-D Zots and 3-D Foam Squares. I then stamped a sentiment in the large
flower. The finished card measures
roughly 6” x 6”.
