DAY 2 (12/14/13):

DAY 3 (12/15/13):

Thanks so much for stopping by for the last stop of Day #1 of
our 'Tis the Season Blog Hop!  I have created a 12"x12" Memory Board.
I have used a Christmas theme and incorporated the Red and
Green Christmas Stick Pins and Jumbo Fabric Covered Button
with the Candy Cane print.
I tend to stay within the "vintage Christmas box," but I
chose to step out and make something a little more festive.
I purchased the board with wall mounted hanger at Hobby Lobby.
A 12" x 12" piece of scrapping paper fits perfectly.  I used a metallic
red as the base, and then pulled out some festive Christmas borders
from my stash.  I attached red kraft bags with card inserts, vellum
envelopes and a chiffon bag to hold gift tags, ribbon, notes, etc.  I added circle
glitter and spray snow that dries to jazz it up.  I used crinkle ribbon
around the handle and accented with dyed hemp twine.  I hope you have
enjoyed my project and enjoy our hop and our awesome Pinque Peacock Products!

Thank You for hopping along and we hope you have Loads of Fun!

A Little Christmas Wrapping

Hello All.  Today, I made a Wrap for my favorite "go to" gift container.  I love these little 3" x 2" tin containers.  They are food safe and can house anything from candy to bath products.  I used Echo Park paper and tags to create the wrap for this container.  I then used chiffon green ribbon and red rick rack to create the sealing ribbon and bow.  I embellished this with a Country Fresh 1/2" red burlap covered button.
When you think of Christmas wrapping, this is as simple and inexpensive as you can get.  These containers sell for $1.00  in qtys greater than 10…you cannot buy gift bags less than that.  What better to embellish with than some Pinque Peacock Products?

Are you Ready to See these products IN ACTION?

I used my October New Release Products, two of the small layer garden beauties, and created a page marker for a sketch book.  I chose the book because of the beautiful fall colors.  I used the yellow and green with burlap small layered garden beauties layered with some snipped burlap ribbon flowers positioned on a burlap ribbon.  I used a sticked gold button and burlap ribbon as the closure.  I think that first, this would make a great embellishment as the ribbon for the gift wrap to give this as a gift.  Since this is adjustable, you can continue to use it to mark the page as you progress in your work.  I just love how the layered garden beauties work with this project.!

Pinque Peacock Design Team Post.

Today, I made a card using a multicolored Elegant Floral from Pinque Peacock.  I started with an almost vintage paper, then added mattes in coordinating colors.  I added a little "bling" with some bling mesh and gemstones.  I used the Elegant Floral underneath a rosette made also from coordinating papers.

Fall Place Setting...

Today, I did a fall project, as I am already preparing for the Autumn holidays.  I did a paper strip pumpkin place card holder.  I stripped a 12x 12 piece of paper into 8" x 1/2" strips, secured them end to end with two brads, then spread the strips.  I created a hemp string stem, then added 3 Pinque Peacock Felt Poppers, in Fall colors, with coordinating PP buttons, along with paper leaves to the stem.  I added a round paper clip behind the flowers to hold the place card.  What an awesomely easy way to add some crafty fall stuff to your holiday table!

Let's alter something today, shall we?

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

So, today, I have chosen to alter something.  Something that isn't usually altered-oh my!  I have taken two matching swirl glass bead stick pins I have from Pinque Peacock…and have ….well….turned them into jewelry.  I took the two stickpins, and wire wrapped them upside down.  I then used butterfly and flower charms and coordinating beads to join them to a 3-1 earring joiner with earring hooks.  I have to say, for a non-beader, this is a great way to make jewelry quickly…!  I love how they turned out!

That girl with the ponytail….she just drives me insane!….

…old school baby…..

Straighten the hair, curl the hair, crimp the hair, blow out the hair….we ALL go to the ponytail when we can get what we want.  Let’s make it stylish and sexy, shall we?  Let’s upscycle one of those much hated slapbands, shall we?  Let’s cover it with our fabric of choice (mine is denim).  It’s so easy to do that.
Then, let’s take our ponytail….and slap the hell out of that slapband around it.  When it places, find your middle point….(It will not be the middle point on the band when straight).  I placed a denim fabric popper in the middle, and placed, on each side, a coffee filter fabric rose.    and a glitter blast!  When “slapped” this looks awesome….try it…you’ll like it!

Happy Crafting and enjoy that Peacock fun!

It’s summer baby!  Let’s go surfin’ now, everybody’s learnin how…come on and safari with me…..Summer safari that is!
For my project today I used several sizes of the Pinque Peacock Summer Safari Fabric, and even placed my custom order with Mrs. Peacock herself from some fabric squares….and look what you can do with them!
I created this beautiful altered headband, and stitched some Summer Safari fabric for the ruffle up the middle….created a flourette from some extra fabric and ran various size buttons down the side.  My girl is going to the be the most stylish girl on the beach!!!!  With a little creativity, and asking Jess for some custom items, you, TOO, can have the materials to create this!

Happy Crafing~

created two projects for this challenge.

For the first, I made a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card, using the Bluebells stamp from Sweet Stamps as the main accent.  The papers are from my stash.  I stamped the sentiment (from CTMH) in "Fortune Teller", also by Sweet Stamps.  I accented the Bluebells stamp, after coloring and blending, with stickles to make it shimmer.  I added accent pearls, a chiffon ribbon flower (handmade by me) with a Pinque Peacock 1 1/2" Satin button (to which I added some Krylon frost Glitter Blast) and an angel stickpin.  I just love this card and how well the Sweet Stamps products coordinate with Pinque Peacock's products!

For my next project, and I'll admit this one took awhile, I made a wind chime.  I love to show the versatility of products…I want products I can use outside of my
craft room, as I am a "home crafter".  I recently attended a tour of gardens, and one I fell in love with was based on the ornamentation.  Bound to add more glitz and glamour to my own outdoor oasis, I embarked on this task.  It all started when I found a cookie cutter in the outline shape of the "Pretty Petals" die.   That was the moment of conception.  Our entire family target shoots, and my awesome father in law collects spent brass that he cannot reload for me to use in craft projects.  My "chimes" are spent and painted 300 Weatherby double banded brass.  The chime is excellent!  I wire wrapped sea glass in cobalt, sky blue and clear to act as wind catching weights.  I assembled the chimes (which is not easy) and added the cookie cutter as the head of the chime.  I used the Pretty Petals die to cut a Blue/Purple Shimmer Sheets.  I added an extra layer of a thin stock in between the die and the Shimmer Sheet, so I only cut the outline.  I then cut an adhesive foil sheet per direction as to only get the outline.  When layered, you get a stained glass effect.  I attached this with strong nylon thread to the cookie cutter on top and bottom so it acts as a "spinner."  I finished the project off with vase filler stones to match the sea glass.  It makes beautiful music in my garden!  Along with pictures, I have included a brief video.  Please forgive the "fake" wind, I live in North Florida, and it's June.  Unless there is a hurricane, there is no breeze!.

Now, you should be sure to head over to Irena's blog to peek at her beautiful creation and get all the details on how it was created. ~~~
