created two projects for this challenge.

For the first, I made a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card, using the Bluebells stamp from Sweet Stamps as the main accent.  The papers are from my stash.  I stamped the sentiment (from CTMH) in "Fortune Teller", also by Sweet Stamps.  I accented the Bluebells stamp, after coloring and blending, with stickles to make it shimmer.  I added accent pearls, a chiffon ribbon flower (handmade by me) with a Pinque Peacock 1 1/2" Satin button (to which I added some Krylon frost Glitter Blast) and an angel stickpin.  I just love this card and how well the Sweet Stamps products coordinate with Pinque Peacock's products!

For my next project, and I'll admit this one took awhile, I made a wind chime.  I love to show the versatility of products…I want products I can use outside of my
craft room, as I am a "home crafter".  I recently attended a tour of gardens, and one I fell in love with was based on the ornamentation.  Bound to add more glitz and glamour to my own outdoor oasis, I embarked on this task.  It all started when I found a cookie cutter in the outline shape of the "Pretty Petals" die.   That was the moment of conception.  Our entire family target shoots, and my awesome father in law collects spent brass that he cannot reload for me to use in craft projects.  My "chimes" are spent and painted 300 Weatherby double banded brass.  The chime is excellent!  I wire wrapped sea glass in cobalt, sky blue and clear to act as wind catching weights.  I assembled the chimes (which is not easy) and added the cookie cutter as the head of the chime.  I used the Pretty Petals die to cut a Blue/Purple Shimmer Sheets.  I added an extra layer of a thin stock in between the die and the Shimmer Sheet, so I only cut the outline.  I then cut an adhesive foil sheet per direction as to only get the outline.  When layered, you get a stained glass effect.  I attached this with strong nylon thread to the cookie cutter on top and bottom so it acts as a "spinner."  I finished the project off with vase filler stones to match the sea glass.  It makes beautiful music in my garden!  Along with pictures, I have included a brief video.  Please forgive the "fake" wind, I live in North Florida, and it's June.  Unless there is a hurricane, there is no breeze!.

Now, you should be sure to head over to Irena's blog to peek at her beautiful creation and get all the details on how it was created. ~~~

And….FLIP!

Hello, my lovelies!  I am feeling a smidge girly today after my most recent Pinque Peacock project!  Once upon a time, a girl had an awesome lunch with her previously aforementioned AWESOMESAUCE mother-in-law.  That girl, just “happened” to sneak a few Panera coffee sleeves in her purse…(Hey…A girl has to craft!!!)
Enter today’s project…a coffee sleeve album.

This was challenging for me in many respects.  First, I don’t **ducks and cringes and runs away** scrapbook. I don’t.  I’m sorry.  I love scrapbooks, but me, myself and I, I just don’t do it.  All my photos are digital, and I prefer them that way.  I also don’t like pastels.  Please see anyone of my previous 100 posts about how pastels and I do not share a likeness for each other.   To top it off, I don’t do mini’s often, and have never done an altered mini.  There, I said it all out loud.  Are you like me?  Then prepare to be amazed, my friends!  I took these plain coffee sleeves, and created this fantastically awesome girly album.  I used a combo of adhesive fabric and pink floral papers from my stash.  I used an accordion binding technique to bind the sleeves, and used iridescent bead trim and chiffon flowers to cover the binding.  On the front,

I used a chiffon flower with a Pinque Peacock Pinque Floral button for the center, and a beautiful marble glass stickpin as an accent on the closure bow.

On each page, I use a coordinating stickpin as an accent and to hold memorabilia or photos.  As I said, I don’t do albums, but I love this one!.....Do you?  Would you love it to add to your collection?  I would love for you to have it!  Comment on the Pinque Peacock blog at http://pinquepeacock.blogspot.com and follow the Pinque Peacock blog Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/PinquePeacock and comment and follow, yes, FOLLOW, my personal blog at Http://mycraftyspace.blogspot.com….then, this, could be yours!  I LOVE giveaways….don’t disappoint me!!!!

Happy Crafting!

For my project, I chose to create a mini-album.  My pages are covered in denim, and I used a sleeve-album format.  I created small envelopes to stick in the pouches to hold photos and memorabilia.  To embellish my cover, I used a layered garden beauty from Pinque Peacock, along with a 3/4 " button and a 1 1/2" button.  I placed these buttons in the center of some fabric and tulle flowers that I created.I inserted a Pinque Peacock stickpin to finish off the look.  This is going to be a wonderful way to store pictures of your annual July 4th celebrations!

Thank You for hopping along and we hope you have Loads of Fun!

Summer Sweaters by Pinquette Lisa

Hey there, ho there!  I hope our little peacocks are awesome today!  Today, I bring to you a neat, awesomesauce project that you are going to run away from your computer to do on your own!  Right now!  (Well, as soon as you see what it is!)  We all know how (I’m from the south, so it’s a proper noun) Mason Jar glasses (even though I used Ball….if you can find Mason…give me a holler ya’ll) are making their rounds in the crafting world as “to go” and “in the car” glasses.  The pints fit perfectly in your car cup holder, and they are so “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” friendly, they have to be every crafters dream! Not to mention how customizable they are!  I’ve seen them used for everything from Bachelorette parties to kids birthday parties, and even as favors.  But WAIT~!!!! There is a flaw.  If there is a flaw in practicality, I WILL find it.  I love the idea.  But until my awesomesauce inlaws introduced me to “sweatless” glasses, I have spent more hours wrapping towels around my beverage glasses than I have actually cutting paper.  So, I was determined to make these guys “sweatless”.  Since I couldn’t change the physical make-up of a canning jar….Well, I could.  I’m brilliant, but that’s more of a tutorial than I am ready for….I decided to use our awesome Pinque Peacock products and make these jars…..SWEATERS!.  That’s right.  Sweaters for the Summer.  I used two different knitting looms for this project.  For the boy’s glass, I made a button down, and for the girls I made a turtleneck.  On each, I used our awesome Pinque Peacock buttons.  On the boys, I used the large button as the actual closure.  For the girls, the sweater is a turtleneck, with the buttons used as grippies, so your hands don’t slip.  I used 100% Cotton yarn, to be absorbent.  There is nothing a crafter hates more than a dull cutter and a wet drinking glass.  I hope these sweaters catch on like crazy!  There is so much you can do with the design ideas~!!!!  I love the Pinque Peacock buttons on these….They are the perfect weight, and perfect size for the job!!.
(YES, that is Guild Wars 2 in the background.  Don't judge me for how I spend my non-crafting time, lol)

I hope you have all enjoyed my project.  Stay happy and Keep Crafting!_

Lisa
